Laughter, Sunshine and Fun

I was all smiles, luggage in hand and wandering through the Jacksonville airport in search of my friends. I always love the hugs and excitement that comes from greeting a friend or loved one at the airport. You know......the slow motion movie style run towards your loved one. I had spotted them. They were there. All smiles just like me. It had been way too long since I had seen them!

Let's rewind a few hours:
In the wee hours of Friday morning I found myself restless. I was waking up every few hours and hoping to get back to sleep. All I kept thinking was, "I don't need to be tired today." My alarm was suppose to go off at 4am and it was merely 1:45 and I wasn't tired!! If you know me and many of you know me quite well, when I can't sleep I get very....less just say irritated. I toss and turn, huff and puff, get up, get water, lay back down, try to sleep. Well, it didn't work. I was up at 2am, with no hope of sleeping until 4. I was just to excited about my weekend.

At 6am I was headed to Detroit and then on to Jacksonville. I had never had a girls weekend where I have flown anywhere. Of course I have flown in for weddings and stuff but this was different. This was our weekend!

We had such a nice time. Having dinner together, dancing, kayaking in St. Augustine, and watching Sex and the City while drinking cosmos and of course being our silly selves.

Here is our weekend in pictures:

I can't stand it anymore.....

Here are some pictures of the house. I have been wanting to post a few for a little while now and have been hesitant on doing so until I know for sure that we are "really" going to close on this big purchase. Everything is looking really good on the loan front and we are closing on May 1st.

The house is located in Oregon. A small town south of Madison. It is about 11 miles from campus so it will be a little further mileage wise but about the same time wise. All highway versus a bunch of stoplights.
Oregon is a cute little town. It is actually considered a village. There is a little grocery store and a quaint downtown. It reminds me of Apex'. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is near a park and walking/bike trail so I am very excited about walking and running on the trails.

Here are a few pics for you. These were taken on the inspection day. I didn't take as many as I wanted to.

Just a little tidbit of useless information for you.

Spring Fever

It is such a beautiful day! It is around 70 with blue sky and sunshine. Students are already in summer dresses and very short skirts...haha. I can't wait to go for a walk outside. Yay for springtime. I hope you are here to stay!!

Waiting.....Waiting......Waiting

This whole house buying business is all about waiting.

You submit an offer, wait for the sellers to counter, they counter, you decide what to do, you counter back, they decide again, they counter back.....then finally after a week it is finalized. Then you submit everything to the bank. Then it's time to wait again........to much waiting I tell you.

Our offer is at the bank with the underwriter. Fingers crossed that everything looks good. We were already pre-approved so here's hoping for good news. We close on May 1. Yay!!!
