Homeowners....

As we signed the paperwork on Friday morning I could hardly contain my smile. We signed and signed and signed and then it happened. The closing agent took our check and made copies of the closing paperwork and that was that!

On Saturday morning we arrived at our new home. It is amazing pulling into the driveway. The grass was green, flowers were blooming people were outside walking. It is unbelievable. It felt like we were visiting someone else "could this place be ours." We opened the door and ran around the house like a bunch kids going to Disneyworld!

On Saturday we installed a fan and lighting fixtures. Ginger and Aaron came over and we had lunch. On Sunday we painted our bedroom and Jimmy installed more lighting fixures and mowed the yard.

It was actually fun. I am sure it will get old after a little while but it sure is nice to be able to paint and do things outside.

Today we are painting another bedroom and possibly starting another one if we have time.

Here is a quick video I took on Saturday. I will have another one soon.

I can't stand it anymore.....

Here are some pictures of the house. I have been wanting to post a few for a little while now and have been hesitant on doing so until I know for sure that we are "really" going to close on this big purchase. Everything is looking really good on the loan front and we are closing on May 1st.

The house is located in Oregon. A small town south of Madison. It is about 11 miles from campus so it will be a little further mileage wise but about the same time wise. All highway versus a bunch of stoplights.
Oregon is a cute little town. It is actually considered a village. There is a little grocery store and a quaint downtown. It reminds me of Apex'. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is near a park and walking/bike trail so I am very excited about walking and running on the trails.

Here are a few pics for you. These were taken on the inspection day. I didn't take as many as I wanted to.
